At AECO Energy, we want to contribute to a better society by helping the communities we live and operate in. A great deal of that is about sustainable practices.
Our objective is to be a leader in sustainability – not only in our own industry but also beyond. We want to help our customers make cities a better place to live and be their most preferred partner for their energy and renewable needs.
In addition to the environmental aspects of our offerings and operations, our sustainability focus areas include quality, diversity, and inclusion, as well as ethics and compliance. Our vision is to be the market and price leader in energy and renewables procurement and management in Asia. And, we want to share our expertise to help our customers in making cities more sustainable and better places to live in.
Working towards carbon neutrality
AECO Energy pledges to be carbon neutral by 2050.
We understand urbanization and climate change, and we want to support our customers make the best out of it by helping them achieve their sustainability objectives. We pay attention to the environmental aspects of our offerings and operations, and we work hard every day to be the most trusted partner. We have made ambitious climate pledges to this end. Together with our customers and partners, we create better communities and environments for us all.

We calculate our carbon emissions.
Reduce
We have clearly defined emission reduction actions based on Scope 1 and 2.
Compensate
We compensate for the remaining emissions that we are not able to eliminate through our emission reduction actions.
Driving the energy transition
AECO Energy is powered by 100% renewable energy.
Transitioning to renewable energy is one of the most effective ways to lower emissions and save the environment. We are on a path to powering our global operations with 100% renewable energy. Since 2021, we have matched 100% of our global, annual electricity consumption with renewable energy.
We have made a commitment to purchase enough renewable energy to match 100% of our operations and we have reached this goal for three consecutive years. This means that we will buy on an annual basis the same amount of megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewable energy in the form of renewable energy certificates (RECs) – as the amount of MWh of electricity that we consume for our operations Asia.
